My SwiftSwiftApps.com Launch: 30 Calls, Some Projects, and Lessons from Week 3
It's now been three weeks since I launched SwiftSwiftApps.com.
As you can guess from my relative silence, I've been really busy since it was quite successful.
A few numbers
Naturally, I first focused on actually delivering what I had promised to my first clients.
Here are a few numbers on this launch:
Almost 30 calls booked (20 the first week)
A couple didn't show up
A majority was eligible to the offer
Around 10 projects were ripe enough to start immediately
Many trusted me immediately, made the payment and benefitted from the offer
I promise delivery in at most 14 days, so I'm pleased to tell you I've already delivered two fully functional MVPs, ready to ship on the App Store, and I'm already working on the next cohort.
For the rest, I announced my delay from the get-go.
I won't be rich this way, that's for sure, and I'm not really breaking even when it comes to a "normal" hourly rate, but what I'll get in return is far more valuable at this stage:
Trust
Testimonials
Meaningful connections
An increased experience in delivering app in a record time
A portfolio of recently made apps and a way to back up my talking
This was always the strategy: bring my rates way down in order to prove myself first, be exposed to clients, build a portfolio, and hopefully steadily rise my prices, while still staying competitive since I have the coding with AI edge.
Where do we go from here?
So what's next? Right now, my goal is to deliver outstandingly for every client that trusted me with their project.
But I'm not exactly sure about my next moves: As already said, the plan was always to ask for more money, since this was an introductory offer, but I want to do it in a smart way, that scales.
Do you have any ideas? I'd love to hear your thoughts on pricing strategies for this kind of rapid MVP development service.
